Postproduction Hull Support Analyst (Junior/Mid-Level)Location: Washington, DC Travel: Up to 25% Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearanceOverviewSayres Defense is seeking a motivated Postproduction Hull Support Analyst to provide programmatic and administrative support for post-delivery hull activities, trials, and production test events in support of U.S. Navy shipbuilding programs.This role supports Government Design Reviews (GDR), OEM coordination, and Production, Design, Test & Trials (PDT&T) activities.The ideal candidate is a Maritime Academy graduate with strong organizational skills, familiarity with shipboard operations, and the ability to coordinate complex waterfront events. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role supporting trial execution and postproduction lifecycle efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesGovernment Design Review (GDR) Support Provide administrative support for GDR processesTrack GDR actions, documentation, and status updatesMaintain GDR logs and reporting metricsCoordinate non-technical documentation and follow-ups OEM Management Support Coordinate OEM quotes and Statements of Work (SOW) trackingManage base access documentation and coordinationTrack SOW execution and deliverablesSupport communication between program office and OEMs Trial & Test Event Support Prepare and track test proceduresManage document control for test procedures and support materialsTrack lessons learned and post-trial feedbackSupport SOE (Schedule of Events) preparation and managementProvide onsite Trial Central supportSupport underway trial events PDT&T Coordination Coordinate Production, Design, Test & Trial (PDT&T) eventsTrack PDT&T tasking and ensure milestone alignmentSupport event logistics and stakeholder coordination Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Maritime Academy graduate preferred)1–5 years of relevant experience supporting shipbuilding, waterfront operations, or Navy programsStrong organizational and task-tracking skillsExperience with document control and coordination processesAbility to support onsite and underway trial eventsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with U.S. Navy shipbuilding programsExperience supporting trials, waterfront events, or test executionKnowledge of production or post-delivery support environmentsActive Secret clearance Work Environment Hybrid support based in Washington, DCUp to 25% travel to shipyards and waterfront locationsOccasional shipboard and underway support required About Sayres DefenseSayres Defense supports critical U.S. Navy shipbuilding and maritime programs, delivering acquisition, engineering, logistics, and waterfront expertise that strengthens fleet readiness and lifecycle sustainment.If you are organized, mission-focused, and ready to support fleet modernization at the deckplate level - we encourage you to apply.
