About the Role: In this crucial leadership position on Confluent's corporate finance team, you will report directly to the Director of Corporate FP&A. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure precise financial forecasting focused on P&L, headcount, and cash flow. Additionally, you will provide strategic insights essential for guiding financial decision-making. This role involves regularly updating and optimizing a complex forecasting model, as well as synthesizing cash flow trends for presentation at quarterly executive and board meetings. Cross-functional collaboration with Treasury, Accounting, and Operations is essential. What You Will Do: Proactively manage forecasts by analyzing variances, uncovering insights, and communicating key risks, opportunities, and business drivers. Present findings and analyses regularly to key finance leaders, including the CFO, SVP of Finance, and VP of Corporate FP&A. Refine and maintain driver-based financial models to evaluate historical and projected expenditures and profitability. Build strong cross-functional relationships to enhance forecast accuracy, improve processes and automation, and rigorously assess business performance. Deliver high-quality quantitative and qualitative analyses with precision and efficiency. What You Will Bring: BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of financial experience in a SaaS company, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or a similar environment. Strong expertise in financial analysis and model construction. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets/Slides. What Gives You an Edge: Proven success working in fast-paced environments. Strategic insights into profitability drivers.
