Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiation Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: Ongoing 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Staff Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to join a patient-focused oncology team dedicated to delivering high-quality radiation therapy care. In this role, you will administer prescribed radiation treatments under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist, ensuring precision, safety, and patient comfort throughout the treatment process. Key Responsibilities Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments following physician directives and protocols Accurately set up treatment plans and administer radiation doses based on tumor volume and treatment specifications Maintain thorough documentation of treatments, patient care, and billing information Collaborate with oncologists to adjust individualized treatment plans as needed Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately Monitor patients during treatments and respond to concerns or side effects Educate patients on procedures, expectations, side effects, and aftercare Stay current on advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technology Promote a supportive, team-oriented clinical environment Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or related field ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (Required) Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications BLS Certification Clinical experience in radiation oncology (new graduates welcome to apply) Benefits 401(k) with employer match Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Paid Time Off Nortek Medical Staffing, Inc.
