Join us to help drive this transformation. This position will focus on promoting AWS technology adoption and revenue growth among select global automotive and manufacturing clients. As a trusted advisor, the Lead Solutions Architect will collaborate with leading industrial manufacturers to revolutionize their design, production, and operational processes and help realize the factories of the future. You will guide clients through complex architectural decisions in areas such as connected vehicle platforms, autonomous operations, digital twins, smart manufacturing (Industry 4.0), supply chain enhancement, and software-defined vehicle (SDV) strategies. As an experienced technology leader and integral part of the Account Team, your influence will extend to various applications involving IoT, edge computing, high-performance computing (HPC), security, data management, analytics, AI/ML, simulation, and robotics, while also covering fundamental services such as compute, storage, and networking. The ideal candidate will embody self-motivation with a solid history in software or technology architecture and consulting. Connecting technology with tangible business outcomes will be essential for your role. Candidates should also demonstrate strategic thinking regarding business, products, and technical hurdles. Qualities We Seek: Passion for engaging with prominent global clients and designing and constructing cloud solutions tailored to automotive and manufacturing sectors. A robust understanding of large-scale, mission-critical solutions within the automotive and manufacturing industries. Prior experience as a systems engineer or architect in these sectors, with a commitment to continually refining and expanding technical skills for deep architectural discussions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the technical relationship with key automotive and manufacturing accounts, acting as the principal technical contact and advisor to C-suite, VP-level engineering leaders, and senior technical stakeholders. Design and develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions for workloads specific to the industry, including data platforms, digital twins, and smart factory deployments. Connect IT and operational technology (OT) through a unique ability to integrate traditional IT architectures with shop floor environments using AWS services. Define and implement technical strategies through technical account plans aligned with customer business objectives. Oversee proof-of-concept initiatives and architectural assessments to accelerate customer adoption and mitigate deployment risks. Influence product development by closely collaborating with AWS service teams and advocating for features tailored to industry needs. Create and promote industry thought leadership through the development of reference architectures and publications. Present at AWS and industry-related events. Mentor and uplift other Solutions Architects on the team, enhancing technical community development through knowledge transfer and best-practice documentation. Basic Qualifications: 15+ years of technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). Experience in developing technology solutions and promoting end-to-end technology roadmaps for cloud adoption. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including C-level executives, through training and publications. Working knowledge of at least two of the following domains: IoT/edge computing, data analytics/data lakes, AI/ML, HPC, DevOps/CI-CD, or application modernization. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of distributed systems and their design. Strong presentation and whiteboarding skills, with comfort engaging internal and external executives and IT leaders. Understanding of operational technology (OT) concepts like SCADA, PLC, MES, industrial protocols, and IT/OT convergence. Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts—digital twins, predictive maintenance, computer vision, robotics, and more. Hands-on experience with AWS services such as IoT, SageMaker, S3, Kinesis, and others. Experience working with or providing solutions to Global 500 companies in manufacturing or automotive sectors. The base salary for this position varies based on location. Additional compensation includes sign-on payments and RSUs, and total compensation is determined by experience and qualifications.
