As part of the DeFi Borrow team, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling millions of customers to access liquidity from their crypto assets through the Coinbase Consumer app. You will connect our robust centralized platform with leading onchain lending protocols to create a simple, secure, and scalable borrowing experience. This includes advanced collateral management, real-time loan health monitoring, and seamless repayment options, establishing Coinbase as the premier destination for maximizing crypto investments and delivering exceptional financial services. Key Responsibilities Lead the product area from conception through strategy, execution, launch, and ongoing enhancement of DeFi Borrow. Define and drive a multi-year roadmap for crypto-backed loans at Coinbase, focusing on initial borrowing flows and sophisticated loan management for both web and mobile platforms. Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) across various workstreams, such as loan origination and management, while fostering collaboration to meet these goals. Work closely with Engineering to deliver robust and scalable borrowing experiences that balance speed with reliability. Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure DeFi Borrow products comply with all regulatory and risk requirements while enhancing customer satisfaction. Maintain operational excellence through comprehensive launch documentation and incident management strategies, ensuring DeFi Borrow stays resilient during market fluctuations. Champion a crypto-centric product approach by utilizing onchain data, protocols, and innovations to create exclusive borrowing experiences in the cryptoeconomy. What We Seek in You 5+ years of product management experience with a proven track record in launching impactful consumer or prosumer financial products. Experience in developing or scaling complex financial or lending products (e.g., margin loans, credit structures, secured loans, DeFi borrowing) while effectively balancing user experience, risk, and business objectives. Technical proficiency and understanding of onchain concepts for collaborative work with engineers focused on smart contracts and loan workflows. Demonstrated ability to articulate and execute a multi-quarter strategy, turning narratives into actionable roadmaps and experiments yielding measurable results. Strong analytical skills and sound product judgment; skilled at deciphering metrics, user behavior, and market dynamics while keeping user experience at the forefront. A user-centric mindset, capable of translating complex financial and onchain concepts into clear, trustworthy experiences that resonate with a broad consumer audience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with DeFi lending protocols (e.g., Morpho, Aave, Compound) or onchain money markets, either as a developer or an advanced user. Background in credit, risk, or capital markets, particularly with secured lending or collateralized products. Experience fostering onchain ecosystems by collaborating with developers or users to launch new markets, collateral types, or integrations. A crypto-forward viewpoint, including familiarity with onchain activities like interacting with Ethereum addresses and utilizing decentralized applications. Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position ranges from $180,370 to $212,200 USD.
