Mid-Level Functional Quality Assurance Engineer Type: Contract Category: Quality Assurance (QA) Industry: Financial Services Workplace Type: Remote Date Posted: 02/16/2026 This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Functional QA Engineer who will play a key role in supporting the development of a new web-based application within our ratings technology team. This application enhances customer outreach and lead workflows while securely storing data in a backend database and integrating with Salesforce through APIs. While this role does not focus solely on Salesforce, a solid understanding of Salesforce integration is essential. We offer competitive W2 and corp-to-corp consultant options. For our W2 consultants, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, a 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $50.00 to $53.00/hr. W2 Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed functional testing of a new web-based application. Validate user stories to ensure they meet acceptance criteria and quality standards. Execute API testing and confirm proper system-to-system data flows. Perform integration testing for data exchange with Salesforce and other platforms. Conduct database validation by writing and executing SQL queries. Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA. Work collaboratively with developers, QA leads, and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Verify application behavior across all supported use cases and integrated systems. Experience Requirements: 4 to 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance. Hands-on experience in functional QA for web-based applications. Proficient in API testing, particularly with validation of inter-system data flows. Experience with database validation and executing SQL queries. Background in Agile/Scrum environments. Practical knowledge of JIRA for test management and defect tracking. Understanding of Salesforce integrations via APIs, including leads and customer record concepts.
