Job Description Join our team as a Senior Director of Data Center Operations, where you'll lead enterprise-level initiatives focused on reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, community engagement, and long-term capacity strategy. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring OCI's infrastructure platform achieves industry-leading uptime, security, efficiency, and scalability. Scope & Scale of Responsibility Oversight of a multi-GW hyperscale campus in North America, with travel required up to 50% of the time. Management of over 300 direct and indirect reports across multiple campuses. Supervision of 24/7 mission-critical operations. Responsibility for NNN lease performance and landlord relationships. Collaboration on capital planning for expansion and lifecycle refresh. Authority for enterprise incident command during major facility events. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Operations Leadership Provide executive oversight of data center facility operations, including power distribution and cooling infrastructure. Drive operational excellence through uptime performance and preventive maintenance execution. Establish standardized operating frameworks across geographically distributed campuses. Reliability & Risk Management Act as executive incident commander for major facility events. Lead root cause analysis and reliability improvements. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards including SOC2 and ISO. Financial & Capacity Stewardship Collaborate on multi-year capacity planning and operating budgets. Drive cost optimization across various operational factors. Implement KPI dashboards to measure performance metrics. NNN Lease & Strategic Vendor Governance Act as senior liaison with landlords under NNN agreements. Ensure lease compliance and performance transparency. Manage strategic vendor relationships for contract performance. Commissioning & Expansion Integration Work closely with design and construction teams for operational readiness. Complement acceptance testing with operational validation. Build scalable frameworks to support future growth. Talent & Organizational Leadership Lead and scale a high-performing technical organization of approximately 500 professionals. Recruit top talent across various roles. Foster a culture of innovation and accountability. Community & Regulatory Engagement Represent the company with local communities and regulatory bodies. Drive positive relationships in hyperscale markets. Ensure environmental compliance across all jurisdictions. Cross-Functional Executive Collaboration Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure infrastructure readiness. Influence design standards based on operational insights. Contribute to global expansion strategies for OCI. Qualifications 15+ years in leadership roles within mission-critical data centers or large-scale operations. Experience leading large teams (300-500+ personnel). Expertise in operations for Tier III/IV or hyperscale facilities. Proficient in managing NNN lease relationships. Incident management experience in critical environments. Preferred experience in portfolios exceeding 1 GW. Strong executive presence with cross-functional influence.
