We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Regional Float Pool specializing in emergency care. You'll have the opportunity to provide critical nursing care in fast-paced environments, ensuring the highest quality of care for patients in need. Job Summary: As an RN in our Float Pool, you will deliver nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols, specifically catering to patients requiring complex assessments and interventions. Key Responsibilities: Collect comprehensive data related to patients' health and needs. Triages patients using age-appropriate and culturally sensitive practices to ensure timely care. Analyzes assessment data to identify diagnoses or issues. Sets individual goals for each patient or situation. Implements strategies to promote health and ensure a safe practice environment. Evaluates progress toward achieving health outcomes. Effectively communicates across various formats in all clinical settings. Exhibits leadership within the practice setting and the broader nursing profession. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and skills aligned with current nursing practices. Applies evidence-based practices to cater to the diverse needs of patients. Ensures a vigilant and safe work environment. Performs related duties as assigned. Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational qualification. Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a float pool setting or two years in a relevant registered nursing role. Physical Requirements: Frequent communication with patients and staff. Constant standing and walking, with the ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. frequently. Occasional lifting of patients and carrying weights up to 50 lbs. Regular data entry and use of visual and auditory skills for monitoring patient health. Licenses and Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association. Registered Nurse (RN) license in your state of practice. Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or equivalent emergency nursing courses such as ENPC, NRP, PALS, or TNCC based on the patient population you will serve.
