Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist for a notable medical device/diagnostics organization in Union City, CA.Location: Union City, CA Pay: up to 29/hr based on education and experience Duration: 6 months contract Summary The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the organization with initial compliance and ongoing monitoring of quality assurance processes and standards for manufacturing and production. This role ensures compliance with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards, identifies risks and trends, and collaborates with internal departments to address and resolve issues. Key Responsibilities Perform in-depth and thorough Device History Record (DHR) reviews and disposition products in compliance with established release procedures. Monitor for developing trends and proactively notify management of emerging issues. Address issues with DHRs promptly and escalate when needed. Communicate professionally with production personnel to resolve documentation issues in DHRs. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned within the Quality Department. Facilitate internal training, audits, and risk assessments as needed. Maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with GMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and other regulatory requirements. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required; advanced degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in an FDA-regulated environment, preferably within the medical device or in-vitro diagnostics industry. Knowledge and experience with GMP and Good Documentation Practices required. Proven ability to work in a compliance-focused, regulated environment. Technical Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures. Proficiency with basic statistical analysis and quality-related data interpretation. Sound knowledge of regulations and QA compliance requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Analytical, data-driven mindset; ability to learn from successes and failures to improve processes. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong self-awareness and openness to feedback. Physical & Site Requirements Union City, CA - on-site position. Must remain drug-free (drug screening completed prior to start).
