What We Offer: Base Salary: GL-9/GS-11, $63,148 - $120,145 per year Up to $60,000 in additional incentives for newly appointed agents A clear career path with opportunities for promotion without the need to re-apply Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and a robust retirement plan Incentives: Recruitment Incentive: Up to $20,000 available for newly appointed agents; $10,000 after completing the Border Patrol Academy and an additional $10,000 for accepting a prioritized location. Retention Incentive: Newly appointed agents may also qualify for up to $40,000 in bonuses distributed over their first four years. Typical Duties: Identifying and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws. Conducting surveillance from covert locations, including night operations. Performing checks in diverse environments to apprehend violators and safeguard border security. Patrolling international borders utilizing various government resources. Qualifications: GL-9: Requires one year of specialized experience in law enforcement duties, including physical searches and report preparation. GS-11: Requires one year of specialized experience in law enforcement with the authority to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes. Additional requirements include U.S. citizenship, residency qualifications, and age restrictions as mandated for law enforcement positions.
