1st Shift Production Supervisor

A dynamic and expanding manufacturing facility is searching for a 1st Shift Supervisor (7-4pm) to manage daily operations while enhancing safety, quality, and production output. This position is perfect for a hands-on leader who excels on the production floor, sets a positive example for others, and adeptly balances team dynamics, processes, and performance metrics. Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee day-to-day production operations to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency objectives. Assess production schedules, assign work orders, and ensure precise costing. Identify production delays and troubleshoot issues related to maintenance, quality, or staffing. Facilitate employee safety and quality training sessions while maintaining thorough training documentation. Uphold employee conduct standards and manage performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Encourage a strong culture of housekeeping, organization, and safety. Work in collaboration with other shift supervisors and plant management. Operate production equipment as needed and provide leadership at the floor level. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in leading manufacturing teams. Demonstrated experience supervising production personnel. Capability to operate manufacturing equipment (Presses). Proficient with computer applications (Word, Excel, production scheduling systems). Experience with OSHA safety training. Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards or relevant experience is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with steel or aluminum is a plus but not required.
