Position Description Advertised Job SummaryAssociate Director of Individual ServicesAre you an experienced leader in health services? Are you a strategic planner and leader when it comes to health programming? The Associate Director of Individual Services leads well-being initiatives focused on individual services. This role provides strategic leadership to support student success through evidence-based individual, interpersonal and institutional strategies, including Wellness Coaching, BASICS, and Gamecock Recovery. Primary duties include: Oversee individual health education efforts, including Wellness Coaching, BASICS, and recovery coaching. Oversee Gamecock Recovery program. Provide leadership and supervision to student and professional staff. Manage, report, and publicize Student Well-being's progress toward the achievement of unit, divisional, and university objectives. Conduct assessment of services, utilization and facilitators to ensure effectiveness. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge and ability to apply relevant theories and research (to include modern health education, motivational interviewing, and coachingpractices and theories). Oversee day to day operations. Work closely with department and leadership to develop and manage internal budget; identifying opportunities for cost savings Oversee individual health education efforts, including Wellness Coaching, BASICS, and recovery coaching. Conduct assessment of services, utilization and facilitators to ensure effectiveness. Provide annual report on effectiveness and impact of individual services. Review campus data and implement evidence-based strategies based on the findings. To include provider evaluation, program assessments, utilization reporting, and other assessment methods. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Strategic Planning Working closely with the department and leadership to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with university, division, department, and unit priorities Conduct research and analysis to identify to trends and best practices in student well-being, incorporating these insights into departmental strategies Coordinate a recovery-oriented system of care on campus, including early intervention strategies, referral programs, and recovery support. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Stakeholder Collaboration Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including students, university administrators, faculty, staff, and community partners. Represent the unit in university-wide initiatives and collaborate with other departments to enhance overall student experience and support services. Serve as a liaison between Healthy Carolina, Student Conduct, Student Care and Outreach Team, Counseling and Psychology Services, Title IX, Student Advocacy, and other campus and community offices as necessary to provide continuity of care.
