We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at our food processing plant. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems that keep our facility running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant systems to minimize downtime Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Conduct routine equipment inspections and address issues proactively Respond to maintenance service requests and prioritize repairs efficiently Collaborate with fellow team members to resolve technical issues Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance work and repairs Adhere to all company safety policies and keep workspaces clean and organized Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment performance Work Environment & Conditions Fast-paced, cold, and wet production setting (temperatures may drop to 40°F) Regular exposure to mechanical equipment, vibration, humidity, and noise May be exposed to airborne particles and extreme cold Standing for long periods; frequent lifting (25-50 lbs regularly, 75 lbs occasionally) Schedule & Availability Available Shifts: Shift 1: 4:00 AM - 4:00 PM Shift 2: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM Extended hours and weekend work (including Saturday and Sunday) are required during peak periods Must be reliable and able to meet all attendance requirements What We Offer Full-time, year-round employment Consistent 40+ hour workweeks, even during non-peak seasons Benefits eligibility after 60 days Opportunities for training and advancement Join a company where hard work is recognized and growth is possible. Apply today and be a part of the Orca Bay Foods team!Experience and Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Proven ability to diagnose and repair production equipment and machinery Experience with preventive maintenance programs and documentation Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Familiarity with food processing or similar regulated environments preferred Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently under pressure Must be able to work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays as needed Job Benefits Salary Disclosure The typical salary pay range for this role is $28 - $34 per hour Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
