Substitute Bus Driver Location: North Brunswick, NJ 08902 Compensation: $30/h - 1099 Independent Contractor We are seeking dependable Substitute Bus Drivers to safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities across the district. Bus drivers play a crucial role in ensuring students arrive safely and on time. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with School Bus endorsement Safe driving record and ability to pass a background check Ability to manage student behavior on the bus and ensure a safe environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Must pass required criminal history background check and drug/alcohol screening Responsibilities: Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes, including morning, afternoon, and field trips Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers at all times Follow district schedules and assigned routes Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety and cleanliness Manage student behavior in a calm and professional manner Report any accidents, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation policies and regulations If you are enthusiastic about education and enjoy working with students across grade levels, we encourage you to apply to become part of the our substitute teaching team!
