Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Assistance Available We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our team as a Resource Nurse in a general medical surgical telemetry unit. This role offers flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, within a vibrant healthcare setting serving the Southeastern United States region. Summary As a Resource Nurse, you will play a vital role in facilitating quality patient care by efficiently utilizing resources and supporting staff to deliver excellent care. You will act as a key liaison between physicians, administrators, and nursing staff, ensuring smooth communication and coordination. Key Responsibilities Manage daily patient assignments and collaborate closely with physicians during rounds. Serve as a resource and support for nurses, nursing assistants, monitoring technicians, and unit secretaries. Assist with clinical procedures, order verification, and daily quality control and equipment checks. Evaluate patient acuity and assist in personnel performance assessments. Support clinical education efforts in the absence of designated educators or preceptors. Engage with patients and families regularly to ensure their needs are met. Coordinate with care teams including discharge planning and nursing supervisors. Implement hospital innovation initiatives and monitor staff performance related to patient satisfaction metrics. Maintain effective communication with leadership, physicians, and staff, utilizing mobile communication tools as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit operations. Education and Experience Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with compact state licensure accepted. Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience. Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective organizational, teaching, and leadership capabilities. Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Ability to safely handle exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Licenses and Certifications Active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
