Description Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups, utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods. Create tailor-made treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy centered on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, aligning with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to coordinate cohesive care plans. Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in sporadic inpatient evaluations and therapies while ensuring a seamless continuum of care during the treatment process. Keep precise and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational regulations. Pursue continued education to remain at the forefront of the specialty through collaboration with peers. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Mastery of evidence-based treatment methodologies for all age groups, combined with a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Adeptness at adapting therapeutic techniques to accommodate the diverse cultural and linguistic needs of the community. Strong clinical judgment along with proficient problem-solving skills.
