Full-Time | On-Call Rotation May Be Required | Travel Between Properties RequiredJob Overview: Apartment Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Junior HVAC Technician to support our Service team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their HVAC skills through hands-on training while assisting with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across company properties. Key Responsibilities: Assist with diagnosing issues in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems under supervision Support the installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment and components Learn to read and interpret HVAC wiring diagrams and system layouts Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Complete work orders and service documentation accurately Respond to emergency situations alongside senior technicians as needed Comply with company policies, safety procedures, Fair Housing regulations, and applicable laws Safeguard property security by maintaining control of keys and limiting access to authorized individuals only Participate in snow removal, salting, shoveling, and pretreatment during winter weather events Be available for on-call rotation and emergency response as assigned Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Entry-level HVAC experience or related mechanical experience preferred Basic knowledge of HVAC systems or strong willingness to learn Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to work in varying weather conditions Requirements: CFC certification preferred or willingness to obtain Valid driver's license required Ability to travel to and work at multiple company properties Use of a vehicle during scheduled shifts is required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces Ability to work indoors and outdoors in both hot and cold environments Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and physical activity Reliable phone number and email address Benefits offered: Transportation Allowance Phone Allowance Company-Provided Cell Phone 8 Paid Holidays Paid Funeral Leave & Jury Duty Leave Health Benefits (eligible 1st of month after 60 days): Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Employer-paid Life Insurance Voluntary Life Insurance options Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Retirement (eligible after 3 months, age 21+): Traditional & Roth 401(k) options Additional Perks: Employee Recognition Program Discounted Housing (more information available at interview)
