Job Description

Description Candidates will be expected to assist in the leadership of a newly established basic neuroscience program that uses live microscopy, electrophysiology, and molecular approaches to study fundamental mechanisms of learning and memory. The applicant will assist in the development of a robust research program that includes publications of peer-reviewed manuscripts, presentations at national and international meetings, and assist the PI to maintain a track record of sustained extramural grant funding. Qualifications Applicants must have a PhD in cellular, synaptic, or ion-channel physiology, at least 10 years of experience with in vitro neurophysiological approaches, including intracellular patch-clamp recordings, related sample preparation, data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation. Applicants must have a proven track record of successful external federal funding, publications in cellular and synaptic in vitro electrophysiology, and training of students and postdoctoral fellows.
