Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Duration: 6+ Months with Possible Contract to hire Locations: Can work in any of these 3 locations ( Huntsville, AL OR King of Prussia (KOP), PA OR Littleton, CO) Schedule: 5/40-1st Shift Job Description: We are seeking a Level 2 Mechanical Design Engineer (3-5 years' experience) to support engineering design, product development, and configuration activities for advanced mechanical and electromechanical systems. This position requires hands-on proficiency with CREO 10, engineering data management tools, strong CAD modeling, and applied GD&T skills. Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components, systems, and assemblies. Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CREO 10. Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and compliance with ASME standards. Use DSR6 and internal drawing release standards to produce complete design packages. Manage engineering documentation and configuration control using EPDM or related Product Data Management systems. Support engineering teams in prototype development, testing, validation, and problem-solving. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality, and program teams. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering change processes. Ensure adherence to all engineering standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Work fully onsite and maintain eligibility for access to Export Controlled Information (ECI) Qualifications: Mechanical or electromechanical design engineering experience. Hands-on experience with CREO 10 (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings). Experience using DSR6 (or similar drawing/dimensioning release standards). Proficiency with EPDM or similar Product Data Management software. Strong understanding and application of GD&T (ASME Y14.5). Ability to create accurate drawings, BOMs, and engineering design documentation. Ability to work onsite at one of the listed locations. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
