Description Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized evaluations and observational methods. Create customized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Conduct personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues. Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop a cohesive approach to care. Provide education and resources to patients and families that support their progress outside of clinical settings. Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring a seamless continuum of care. Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with peers to stay abreast of industry advancements. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be attained within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based interventions for a wide range of age groups, with deep knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong communication skills, fostering connections with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Solid clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
