Medical Technologist | Lab Services We are looking for a skilled Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team in Englewood, FL. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys the autonomy of night shifts and is committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic data that directly impacts patient outcomes in a rapid-response environment. Role Overview Location: Englewood, FL Shift: Full-time | Nights (Rotating Weekends) Salary Range: $27.09 - $37.92 per hour (Commensurate with experience) Specialty: Lab Tech - Generalist Key Responsibilities As a Medical Technologist, you will ensure the integrity of our clinical testing and provide critical data to physicians. Your core duties will include: Advanced Diagnostics: Perform accurate laboratory testing and analyze proficiency samples within strict timeframes. Critical Decision Making: Exercise independent thinking and sound judgment when interpreting patient results, including performing delta checks and managing critical values. Workflow Leadership: Monitor pending logs (OSR) and result logs to ensure no workload is left outstanding; assume departmental responsibility in the absence of a supervisor. Efficiency: Prioritize and execute "stat" procedures to meet or exceed turnaround time targets. Quality Assurance: Adhere to strict QC protocols and document all patient findings accurately to maintain compliance and safety. Qualifications Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology is highly preferred. Licensure: State of Florida Technologist License is required (or the verified ability to obtain licensure during the interview process). Specialty Areas: Licensure in one or more clinical specialties (Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, or Microbiology). Generalists are highly preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist preferred.
