Prof. or Higher)Org Level 1:Texas Tech Unv Hlth Sci Ctr El PasoPosition Description:Provides leadership and administration within a designated area(s) of a college or school, in accordance with established guidelines, university policy and/or governmental regulations.Requisition ID:43812BRTravel Required:Up to 25%Major/Essential Functions: Under the leadership of associate dean for graduate medical education, supports oversight for the institution’s graduate medical education enterprise, ensuring alignment with the medical school’s mission and strategic priorities Assists with ACGME accreditation and compliance activities at the institutional and program levels, including preparation for reviews and responses to citations Advocates for and enhances the quality of resident and fellow education through regular and effective communication with program directors, department chairs, and hospital partners Contributes to development and implementation of GME policies, procedures, and governance structures, including participation in GMEC and related committees Supports program director and associate program director development related to accreditation requirements, assessment, and educational best practices Collaborates with the leaders of all affiliated clinical sites to create a positive clinical learning environment that supports professionalism and the well-being of residents and fellows Actively participates in teaching and educational activities, in addition to providing administrative oversight of GME programs Provides clinical service aligned with their medical specialty Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L.
