Job Description We are searching for a Business Systems Analyst II -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will support and manage all phases of a system optimization or upgrade project and provides production services such as recommending improvements to strategy, system usage, or process through the application of business and technology skill sets. Reviews and analyzes programming systems including testing and documenting Epic applications. Consults with customers to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Additional responsibilities include workflow administration, data management, and performing minor modifications to the application. Think you've got what it takes? Job Duties & Responsibilities • Collaborates with core internal stakeholders to identify system issues, process gaps, and improvement opportunities. • Ensures the EMR and related systems are fully optimized to support operational needs. • Identifies and prioritizes system and application enhancement requirements. • Analyzes current business practices, user needs, and workflow processes to inform solution design. • Documents current-state and future-state business processes with clarity and accuracy. • Participates in vendor evaluations and provides recommendations based on findings. • Assesses alternatives using data from vendor analyses, system demonstrations, and functional evaluations. • Uses data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement. • Engages end users to review and evaluate functional models and system prototypes, identifying dependencies and risks. • Supports business and clinical operations as a liaison to Information Services (I.S.), ensuring ongoing system maintenance, enhancements, and optimization. • Partners with I.S. and operational leaders to capture requirements and perform functional configuration analysis for system implementations, upgrades, and other projects. • Troubleshoots system issues and supports modifications to improve functionality, usability, and performance. • Coordinates and delivers training as needed to support adoption of new processes or system changes. • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills. • Effectively works in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and dynamic environment. • Manages multiple responsibilities, balancing operational support with project-related activities. • Experience with Microsoft DevOps and/or ServiceNow preferred. • Epic certification in Healthy Planet/Compass Rose for Health Plans preferred. Skills & Requirements • H.S. Diploma or GED • 7 years' experience in healthcare operations and/or information systems implementation, • Bachelor's degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience and a master's degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience About Us Founded in 1996, Texas Children's Health Plan is the nation's first health maintenance organization (HMO) created just for children.
