Title: X-Ray Technologist Compensation: Up to $28 - $34 per hour, depending on experience Reports to: Director of Radiology Essential job functions/duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes. Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies if applicable. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information. Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services. Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members. Follow the policies, procedures, and safety protocols established by the medical director or generated by federal, state and local requirements, and by other oversight or accrediting agencies; Report any medical errors, mishaps, or near misses stemming from any source including but not limited to personnel and equipment performance, to the medical director (and if applicable to the supervising physician); Maintain the current credentials necessary to operate the applicable imaging systems and experience and training set forth in RadSite standards Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required Preferred 1-2 years experience in X-Ray Willingness to learn DEXA and IV placement Service oriented approach, flexible and proactive Must be self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly Ability to work in strict compliance with all procedures, rules, and regulations Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications Ability to excel in team environment Superior attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills Education, credentials, and/or trainings required Required American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Arizona State certification in Radiology Will be required to cover in multiple departments as needed BLS American Heart Association (AHA) Supervisory responsibilities None Work environment Clinic setting Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm Physical demands Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs, be able to, position, push or transfer patients, have manual dexterity and mobility, be able to see clearly at 20 feet or more, be able to see clearly at 20 inches or less, be able to judge distance and space relationships, be able to see peripherally, and be able to distinguish and identify different colors.
