Manager of Data Engineering, Analytics (Monetization)

Responsibilities: Shape and drive the mission and strategy for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing across a specific product vertical. Build and lead a high-performing BI and Data Warehousing team, designed for scalability. Foster cross-functional relationships with stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure effective delivery. Oversee data warehouse initiatives, ensuring data quality and operational efficiency. Design, develop, and launch innovative data models and pipelines into production. Create impactful dashboards and data visualizations to support decision-making. Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all data sets and processes in production. Promote efficiency and speed, providing project management leadership and a vision for how BI can drive proactive improvements within the company. Minimum Qualifications: At least 4 years of experience (2+ years with a Ph.D.) in applied analytics, with a minimum of 2 years managing analytics teams. 8+ years of experience in BI and Data Warehousing. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related technical field. Proven track record in initiating and completing BI, data warehousing, and/or analytical projects with minimal guidance. Experience communicating analysis results to executive leadership. Project management experience. Expertise in data architecture. Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and development experience in at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, etc.). 2+ years of experience managing people, including leading and scaling teams of 3 or more. Collaboration experience with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Product Management. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with data sets, Hadoop, and data visualization tools. Experience in a consumer web or mobile company. Advanced degree. Public Compensation: $177,000/year to $247,000/year plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
