Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and families? LSF is seeking a dedicated Family Support Services Coordinator to join our mission-driven team! Purpose & Impact: This role focuses on delivering essential family support services, assisting the Case Management Organization through various functions such as client transportation, supervised visitation, and foster parent support. This is a hands-on, direct care position that truly makes a difference. Key Responsibilities: Transport client children to and from program placements, supervised visits, and medical appointments using agency or personal vehicles. Maintain and report on transportation requests weekly to ensure smooth operations. Track and manage agency vehicle mileage and maintenance needs. Conduct follow-up contacts with foster homes to ensure successful placements. Visit foster homes at least quarterly to provide guidance and support as needed. Prepare required documentation and reports as directed by the unit supervisor. Engage in community outreach including recruitment events, foster parent meetings, and support groups. Participate in professional training sessions, meetings, and supervision. Additional Functions: Maintain an agency cell phone and participate in an on-call rotation as necessary. Work independently in the community. Collaborate effectively within a team environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Physical Requirements: Ability to drive, handle a phone, sit for extended periods, and write notes as required. Assist with administrative tasks when necessary, including answering phones and filing. Adapt to irregular working hours and perform light lifting duties. Valid driver's license and appropriate auto liability insurance are essential. Qualifications: A high school diploma is required; some college education is preferred. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in community service roles is strongly preferred. Skills: Excellent time management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment with clients, colleagues, and community stakeholders. Demonstrated dependability, discretion, and sound judgment. Certification in First Aid/CPR and crisis intervention is advantageous. Effective communication skills with diverse audiences including clients, parents, and government agencies. Other Requirements: Candidates must show sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population. Accountabilities: Report directly to the unit supervisor. Collaborate effectively with co-workers and management. Ensure timely and accurate submission of documents and reports. Adhere to all licensing regulations and quality assurance standards. Serve as a liaison to government, courts, schools, and community providers. Follow all agency policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of all client information. Why Join LSF?
