Job Description Join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team, where we deliver mission-critical applications to top-tier enterprises globally. Our cloud services provide unmatched hyper-scale, multi-tenant operations across more than 40 regions. What You Will Bring: Over 5 years of robust experience in networking technologies. Strong proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language. In-depth knowledge of network technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS. Experience in developing network automation and device management solutions. Outstanding communication and organizational skills with a flair for collaborative and agile teamwork. An ownership mindset focused on delivering results, navigating ambiguity, and fostering continuous improvement. Experience in a network support role is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of additional network technologies and protocols including IS-IS, RSVP-TE, EVPN, VxLAN, DHCP, DNS, IPv4, and IPv6. Experience in network modeling and programming using YAML, YANG, OpenConfig, and NETCONF. Familiarity with network monitoring and telemetry solutions. Experience using ticket systems like Jira and version control systems like Git. Understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies. Responsibilities: You will support the design, deployment, and operations of a vast global Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), focusing on network fabric development and operational support through an in-depth understanding of networking at the protocol level combined with programming expertise. As OCI is a cloud-based network with a global reach, your role will involve managing a great number of network devices supporting millions of servers across various infrastructures. Engage in the design process of innovative network solutions and architecture. Participate in operational support rotations. Provide break-fix support during events, acting as the escalation point for issue resolution, and lead post-event root cause analyses. Join major event and incident calls, using your technical skills to resolve network issues affecting our customers and services. Handle fault identification and escalation within OCI's systems and networks, collaborating closely with 3rd-party suppliers until resolution. Work with program and project managers to develop clear milestones and deliverables. While using existing procedures and tools for safe network changes, you may also develop new procedures when necessary. Create solutions that empower front-line support teams to respond to network failures. Mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth. Coordinate with networking automation services to enhance support tooling integration. Work with network monitoring teams to gather telemetry and establish alert rules based on telemetry insights. Design dashboards to visualize network data across various layers and device roles to identify issues and anomalies effectively. Regularly create scripts to automate routine tasks for your team and business units. Act as a Subject Matter Expert on software development projects focusing on network automation and monitoring. Collaborate with network vendor technical teams and internal Quality Assurance to resolve bugs and qualify new firmware and operating systems.
