About the Role As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus, you'll leverage your clinical skills to evaluate how a person's health condition or disability impacts their daily activities. You will engage with complex cases involving both physical and mental health challenges, aiding individuals in moving forward with their lives. This role is both demanding and fulfilling, which is why we provide a comprehensive training program tailored to support your success. You will start with 6 weeks of training followed by continuous mentorship. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct assessments via phone, video, or in-person to evaluate how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. Prepare Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining eligibility for benefits. Enhance your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision. Requirements Valid NMC registration number. A minimum of 1 year of broad post-registration experience in adult nursing or mental health, gained within or outside the NHS. MUST have the right to work in the UK; we cannot offer sponsorships. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in using computer software for typing and generating detailed reports. What We Offer Competitive salary of £39,500.
