Cultivate inspiring and respectful relationships with labor and community leaders. Communicate a compelling vision for union success and develop effective strategies for union recognition. Lead engaging and motivating organizing meetings to drive collective action. Conduct in-depth research and manage all logistical aspects of organizing campaigns. Empower and motivate workers and community members to actively participate in union growth. Provide regular updates and insightful reports on your activities to the Organizing Director. Perform any additional duties as assigned to further our mission. COMPETENCIES: Strong commitment to trade union principles. Exceptional interpersonal communication and persuasive abilities. Proficient understanding of campaign organizing practices to rally support. Able to collaborate effectively in diverse team settings. Self-motivated with excellent prioritization capabilities. High emotional intelligence and a capacity to manage stress professionally. Ability to make informed decisions independently and take proactive initiatives. Familiarity with the history and practices of labor movements. Knowledgeable about relevant labor laws and regulations. Skilled in utilizing field database systems. Proficient in campaign writing and professional correspondence. Punctual and committed to maintaining professional standards. JOB DEMANDS: This is a salaried role that requires flexibility with long and irregular hours, including frequent travel and potential overnight stays. Special campaigns may necessitate extended travel commitments. A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are essential.
