Registered Nurse CVOR | Charlotte, North Carolina

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) specialty to work on a contract assignment in Charlotte, NC. This role offers a challenging and diverse surgical environment within a facility supporting complex cases across multiple specialties. Schedule & Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, completing 36 hours per week On-call responsibilities include 3-4 weeknight calls per six-week schedule (12-hour shifts 7 PM to 7 AM) and 1-2 weekend shifts (7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM) on a rotating basis Holidays are covered through a call rotation system Floating is not required for this position Qualifications: Active RN licensure with current BLS certification Minimum 2 years of OR experience in CVOR or related specialty, including circulation in orthopedic, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, urology, robotic, gynecology, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, and plastics cases Strong, recent experience specifically with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic procedures Proficiency with EPIC EMR system preferred Ability to participate in a 5-day orientation (five 8-hour shifts) Responsibilities: Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced environment averaging 45 cases daily across 13 OR rooms plus a procedure room Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and support staff to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes Support sterile techniques, patient positioning, instrument handling, and equipment management Participate in on-call rotation and holiday coverage as required Facility & Location Highlights: Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, this hospital features a 337 licensed-bed capacity with recognized Chest Pain and Stroke Centers.
