Job Description: Job Summary This role demands in-depth expertise in entry writing, including classification as per the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) as well as involvement in government agency clearances (PGA), regulations, and customs compliance. Responsibilities: Prepare customs entries and coordinate freight movement to designated locations, working closely with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers. Oversee customs entries and actively track the clearance process for all entries you prepare. Promptly communicate any documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors. Ensure the timely delivery of freight to specified locations. Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation issues related to currency exchange. Scan entries into the imaging system while meeting critical timelines. Create reports, presentations, and analyses utilizing various software applications and databases. Effectively address documentation discrepancies, demonstrating strong troubleshooting and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with customers and foreign sources. Build and cultivate strong client relationships. Be available to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis to meet operational needs. Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Customs Brokerage. Fundamental understanding of customs operations, relevant laws, regulations, and collaboration with government departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Possession of a Customs Broker License is preferred. Accurate and efficient data entry abilities are essential. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
