The CDL-A Driver is responsible for operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck on various intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and unloading food and related products according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers to address inquiries efficiently. Act as a team member within the organization, serving the company’s interests. Perform required safety checks, including pre and post-trip inspections according to DOT regulations. Report safety concerns and required repairs promptly. Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines. Perform rigorous checks on cargo to ensure safe transport and accurate order fulfillment. Complete necessary paperwork associated with the freight accurately and legibly. Deliver orders on a predetermined route while adhering to the schedule. Unload products and transport them to designated customer storage areas efficiently. Conduct damage control checks and report any issues to the supervisor according to company policy. Verify delivery with customers and secure proper signatures. Manage cash or check collections where required, and process customer returns appropriately. Ensure the security of the vehicle, trailer, and freight at all times. Complete housekeeping tasks in the vehicle and loading dock areas as required. Secure all equipment and finalize paperwork at the end of the shift. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent 12+ months of commercial driving experience Valid CDL-A license Must be at least 21 years of age Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check Pass a road test Ability to obtain a valid DOT Health Card Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move and stack products weighing between 10-90 pounds throughout shifts.
