Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Special Procedures Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 03/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:Radiology / Cardiology - Interventional Radiology Job Details:• Minimum 2 years of experience required• Must be proficient in both peripheral vascular IR and neuro vascular IR• On call requirement: every 3rd or 4th weekend starting Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM• Must be able to scrub both peripheral and neuro cases• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT, and Indiana license• Work with adult patients, preferred experience with adolescents and geriatrics• Must be proficient in procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, peripherals, drainages, upper and lower extremity procedures, abdominal and pelvic procedures, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies• Experience required with PACS, cardiac ablation, cystoscopy, embolization, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, percutaneous stone extraction, and Siemens equipment• Must maintain 3s and 4s only rating for neuro procedures on skillset checklist• Two IR techs assigned to each room - one circulates and the other scrubs• Call-in policy: missed shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby• First time travelers accepted Facility:This major academic medical center features a comprehensive interventional radiology department with 4 IR rooms including 2 single plane and 2 biplane Siemens c-arms. The facility is designated as Level 1 trauma, Level 1 PE, and Level 1 stroke center, providing advanced vascular interventional and neuro interventional services. The department handles complex procedures including angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy procedures, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, and central line insertions.
