Advanced Practice Provider - Thoracic Surgery

Join our dedicated team as an Advanced Practice Provider specializing in Thoracic Surgery. We are looking for an experienced individual to deliver exceptional care within our vibrant medical practice. This is an inpatient role working primarily in the ICU. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to adult patients recovering from complex cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacement, and ECMO support. Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and manage mechanical circulatory device support such as VV/VA ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices, including titration of vasoactive medications. Perform essential procedures, including central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube insertion and management, and pacemaker management. Engage in multidisciplinary rounds, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and offer patient and family education to enhance recovery and understanding. Enjoy a shift-based schedule with rotating weekends and holidays, with no on-call responsibilities or night shifts. Qualifications: Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery is essential. ICU experience is an added advantage. Nurse Practitioners must be Acute Care Certified, or applicants must be Certified Physician Assistants.
