Job Description

As part of our pharmacy team, you'll engage in direct patient interventions and promote health and wellness initiatives, all in compliance with applicable laws. What You'll Do: Support health and wellness initiatives that enhance community well-being. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies to ensure patient confidentiality. Assist the pharmacist in non-judgmental tasks to ensure efficient operations. Deliver a stellar customer experience through accurate reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing of products. Operate the cash register according to company policies to prevent losses, handling various payment methods including credit/debit cards, EBT, gift cards, cash, and checks. Follow guidelines for vendor coupon acceptance and cash handling to minimize losses. Manage phone inquiries efficiently, triaging calls as needed. Complete billing procedures to ensure value for both customers and the company. Measure, count, and prepare specified products in line with best practices. Organize and stock legend orders effectively. Maintain clean and organized workstations and customer areas. Follow computerized inventory management and ordering guidelines for medications and supplies. Work with wholesalers for product ordering. Comply with food safety and sanitation regulations, reporting any unsafe conditions. Stay compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, reporting any illegal activities. Minimum Position Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to manage confidential information responsibly. Meets minimum state requirements for the position. Desired Previous Job Experience: Experience as a pharmacy clerk or in a similar role. Potential Career Path: Pharmacy Certified Technician. Pharmacy Lead Certified Technician. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics are representative of what an employee may encounter while performing essential functions of this role.
