Loss Prevention Specialist

Position Purpose: The Loss Prevention Specialist is dedicated to safeguarding company assets by preventing theft and fraud while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs in assigned stores. This role is crucial for minimizing financial loss through the use of various tools and strategies, including: Identifying incidents of theft and fraud. Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports. Monitoring the physical security of the store. Auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems. Fostering a culture focused on shrink elimination. Additional responsibilities encompass: Preparing detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries. Preserving evidence for investigations. Engaging with law enforcement and providing testimony in criminal and civil court actions. The Loss Prevention Specialist must be proactive in reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty while fulfilling job responsibilities safely to minimize risks to themselves, fellow associates, vendors, customers, and the company.
