Overview: We are seeking experienced General Medicine Physicians to provide essential assessment services for Veterans on a PRN basis. This role involves conducting interview-based evaluations and some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. The position requires the physician to have their own office within the specified locations and to be available for semi-regular, half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts starting February 2, 2026. These exams are non-treatment, focusing solely on assessment, with no prescribing or treatment responsibilities. Required Skills: Medical degree (MD/DO) with valid Nevada medical license Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fields Proven experience in general medicine or assessment-based evaluations Excellent interviewing and physical assessment skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong documentation and report submission skills Own office space within specified locations or willingness to set up in designated areas Nice to Have Skills: Previous experience conducting Compensation & Pension exams or similar assessments Familiarity with veteran medical procedures and requirements Experience with telehealth or remote evaluations Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree from an accredited institution Active medical license in Nevada At least 2 years of clinical experience in primary or specialized care Experience or familiarity with government or military healthcare programs is advantageous Other Requirements: Own office location within the specified radius of each site Must adhere to VES credentialing and onboarding procedures (quick process) Willingness to perform administrative follow-up work (additional reports/addendums) at no extra pay outside designated shifts Travel allowances included within rates; certifications or portal training are not reimbursed before start date Compensation for this role is highly competitive, with a flat rate of $624 per hour for each shift, whether a half-day or full-day. A one-time bonus of $650 is available upon completing initial training and performing your first exam.
