The successful candidate will be responsible for towing heavy-duty trucks and trailers, providing roadside assistance, and ensuring the safe transport of vehicles to our repair facility. Key Responsibilities· Towing Operations: Safely operate and maneuver a heavy-duty wrecker tow truck to transport trucks and trailers from various locations to our diesel mechanic shop.· Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary documentation related to towing jobs, including vehicle condition reports, invoices, and customer service records.· Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure the safety of yourself, customers, and the vehicles being towed.· Customer Service: Maintain a high level of professionalism and provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.· Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on tow truck equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working condition.· Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls promptly and efficiently, often in adverse weather conditions or during irregular hours. Qualifications and Skills· Experience: Previous experience as a heavy-duty tow truck driver or in a similar role is preferred.· Licenses and Certifications: Valid CDL with a clean driving record. Additional certifications related to towing and recovery are a plus.· Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles.· Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and safe operations.· Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills.· Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environments.· Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to handle roadside issues and ensure safe towing operations.This is a remote position.
