Your Responsibilities at Lowe's As a Cash Office Specialist, your main duties include welcoming customers at Lowe's and assisting them in finding the right products and services for their home improvement needs. You will spend your day interacting with customers, guiding them in product selection, occasionally loading merchandise, and ensuring all customer inquiries are addressed thoroughly. Your daily tasks will primarily focus on customer interaction, merchandise organization, and supporting various departments based on hiring needs and your skillsets, including Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more. Key Responsibilities Accurately balance and reconcile cash registers, self-checkout tills, and customer service drawers daily. Prepare and verify bank deposits in line with company policies. Conduct audits on safe funds, petty cash, and change orders. Investigate and resolve any cash discrepancies or issues. Maintain precise financial documentation. Ensure adherence to company cash-handling guidelines and loss prevention standards. Generate and process store reports related to sales, returns, and cash management. Safeguard the confidentiality of financial information. Communicate any discrepancies or trends to management promptly. Assist in front-end operations as required. Minimum Qualifications 6 months of experience using a computer for data entry and information management. 6 months of experience with retail technologies, like smartphones and tablets. Competency in reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic. Able to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing or sitting. Ability to lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without accommodations. Preferred Qualifications 6 months of retail or customer service experience. Bi-lingual skills are a plus.
