Attendance at these events is expected and fully supported. In this role, you will lead the Data Loss Prevention Team, reporting directly to the Head of Security Operations. You will work closely with leaders within the Information Security team, shaping the long-term vision and strategy for Coinbase's Data Loss Prevention Program. Your responsibilities will include building a robust program, refining processes, and implementing advanced technologies to swiftly identify, manage, and resolve data security incidents. Key Responsibilities: Enhance data loss prevention capabilities to protect the Coinbase ecosystem from complex data security incidents. Establish a clear vision and strategic direction for the Data Loss Prevention program. Design and manage intricate controls in a decentralized tech environment, ensuring security measures align with business operations. Provide technical mentorship for deploying DLP tools and technologies, working with cross-functional teams including endpoint security and IT. Improve operational efficiency across diverse DLP Engineering & Operations using LLMs and agentic AI. Promote automation to streamline and scale DLP operations. Advise the CISO and senior leadership on emerging data protection threats within the crypto sector. Create metrics to effectively communicate program performance and challenges to leadership. Collaborate with Security and Privacy Teams to lead cross-functional data protection initiatives. Work with risk teams to assess control effectiveness and adapt to evolving global regulations. What We Expect from You: You are an experienced team leader with a successful track record of achieving measurable results. You have significant experience managing extensive data loss prevention programs across enterprises. Your technical expertise allows you to address operational challenges with engineering solutions. You possess hands-on experience in testing, tuning, and deploying data loss prevention controls across diverse operating systems. You are skilled in managing controls across multiple systems and understand decentralized datasets. You excel in designing scalable processes, implementing automation where possible, and utilizing ML/AI to boost efficiency. You demonstrate discretion and thoughtfulness while collaborating to mitigate risks. You are knowledgeable about the insider threat landscape, including legal, regulatory, and ethical implications of sensitive data management globally. You are familiar with insider threat technologies and their intelligence cycles. You communicate effectively and are valued by colleagues for your clarity and helpfulness in drafting reports and assessments for leadership. You thrive in collaborative environments and can pivot between novice and expert roles seamlessly. You have experience managing remote teams across various time zones. You bring a solid understanding of business dynamics and how Security integrates with Coinbase's overall business strategy. You are adept at balancing business needs, urgency, and competing demands, delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, growing environment. Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of experience managing and leading enterprise-wide DLP Programs. Proven ability to tackle operational challenges through engineering and automation approaches. Experience in Web3 and crypto organizations or traditional financial institutions.
