Industry Renewables & Environment Type Privately Held Founded 2020 Employees 51-200 About the Role We are looking for a dynamic Vice President of Energy Development with extensive experience in energy project development, specifically focusing on Solar, Battery Storage, Microgrids, and Combined Heat and Power (CHP). The successful individual will effectively lead a talented development team to advance and execute a substantial portfolio of multi-hundred-megawatt energy projects. This role uniquely blends technical expertise with commercial insight and strategic decision-making to ensure project execution meets the highest standards and is finance-ready. You will actively engage stakeholders, nurturing critical client relationships and representing our company in important forums. The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of experience in energy project development, demonstrating a solid record of delivering successful and bankable behind-the-meter projects. We seek an inspiring leader with executive presence and exemplary communication skills, capable of managing numerous complex projects simultaneously. As Vice President, you will mentor the development team, accelerate project progress, and guarantee alignment with our organization's goals. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or a related field is essential, and an MBA or further qualifications will be advantageous. Key responsibilities include: Leading late-stage development activities and guiding projects to Notice-to-Proceed. Managing key client relationships, including with Fortune 100 customers and data centers. This role involves minimal travel, estimated at less than 10%.
