What We’re Looking For: We seek a dynamic technical leader to direct our global Oracle Analytics Cloud Service Excellence (OASE) Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. Success in this role requires a strong background in mentoring and managing an SRE or software development team responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing complex cloud products. You will engage in technical design, hands-on troubleshooting, and deliver critical outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to implement your creative ideas using modern cloud tools and frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of SRE experts across various time zones (7+ individuals). Provide guidance and technical direction to OASE team members globally. Mentor team members and support their career growth. Ensure timely execution of critical operational activities within OASE. Encourage the development of innovative best practices and solutions that significantly impact Oracle Analytics Cloud. Collaborate closely with Development, Product Management, and other leaders within the Oracle Analytics organization to ensure on-time delivery of key programs with no adverse impact. Build professional relationships that drive a cultural shift towards aligning managed services with our cloud delivery principles and values. Qualifications: A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field. Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating enterprise-grade OCI services across multiple regions. Demonstrated ability to engage with all levels, from SVPs to individual engineers. Experience in launching or supporting complex programs comprising both infrastructure and software components. Proven track record of fostering collaborative relationships across teams. History of building and maintaining high-performing software engineering teams across various scales and business demands. Experience in developing the next generation of software engineers in your team or organization. Proven capability in managing diverse teams and cultures. A methodical approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java and C++, with experience building, containerizing, and deploying microservices on OKE using Docker. Familiarity with Oracle Analytics products, including OBIEE, Oracle Analytics Server, BI Publisher, or Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). Ability to define and document the technical architecture of complex, scalable products. Experience with developing and operating cloud services or large distributed applications in production. Operational experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (Python, bash, JavaScript), with additional experience in PHP, Groovy, and Java. Expertise in Linux/Unix system administration on OCI Gen 2. Experience with CI/CD scripting tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or Chef. Experience in cloud-native application development with containers and Kubernetes. Familiarity with database technologies including Oracle database, Oracle Autonomous DB, MySQL, SQL tuning, and DBA concepts. Experience designing and developing REST APIs using Java technologies. Proficient in collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence. Skilled in producing documentation supporting development (knowledge bases, run books, help guides). Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this role is $109,200 to $223,400 per year, and you may be eligible for bonuses and equity.
