Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and motivated Field Application Engineer specializing in AMD Xilinx technologies. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our technical sales team, leading hardware and software initiatives to support our key customers. If you thrive on being at the forefront of SoC technology and enjoy actively engaging with customers in both pre- and post-sales design support, this position is for you. Key Responsibilities: Lead AMD Xilinx technical initiatives for key customer accounts, collaborating with the Technical Sales Engineer (TSE). Provide guidance on AMD Xilinx design strategies, enhancing customer opportunities. Build trusted advisor relationships with engineers and architects in assigned accounts. Develop strategies for technical proposals addressing key customer programs. Advise designers on optimal use of Xilinx IP, software tools, and hardware solutions. Manage and resolve technical support issues, engaging AMD Xilinx specialists as needed. Work closely with internal and AMD Xilinx factory resources to create tailored technical proposals. Demonstrate our value proposition through technical solutions, hardware, and software demos. Collaborate with third-party ecosystem partners to create beneficial solutions for customers. Participate in training sessions to maintain technical certifications. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills: Proficiency with FPGA and ASIC design tools, specifically Vivado/Vitis, ISE, or Quartus. Ability to identify and focus on a customer’s key priorities to drive sales success. Deep understanding of customer end products and their market requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent presentation skills and aptitude for collaborative work. Clear communication skills, both at a high-level systems perspective and deep technical detail. Strong organizational skills with the capability to effectively prioritize tasks. Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude. Desirable Skills: Experience in designing with AMD Xilinx FPGA's and SoCs, including Versal Adaptive SoCs, Virtex, Kintex, and Zynq families. Familiarity with embedded system design tools and environments, including Linux and Yocto. Knowledge of board design considerations for FPGAs and SoCs. Experience with high-performance memory interfaces and high-speed serial transceivers. Embedded processing knowledge, particularly around x86 and ARM architectures. Experience: A minimum of 8 years in the field with relevant experience, typically considered for senior sales positions. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
