Job Full Description Coater Operator - 12-Hour Night Shift (Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire) Location: Strongsville, OH Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | 5:45 AM - 6:00 PM | Must be available to work weekends Training: 1st Shift Training Provided Pay: $20.00 per hour Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire About the Opportunity A local Strongsville manufacturing plant is hiring dependable and detail-oriented Coater Operators to join their production team. The Coater Operator is responsible for setting up and operating coating machines that apply inks and coatings to a variety of rolled substrates, including metals, PET, paper, and liners. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, machine operation, or coating/printing experience who are seeking steady 12-hour shifts, strong pay, and long-term employment potential. Primary Responsibilities Prepare, set up, and operate coating machines to apply inks and coatings to rolled metals, PET, paper, and liner materials per job specifications. Monitor machine performance, coating quality, and product consistency throughout production runs. Perform product testing, inspections, and quality checks per standard operating procedures. Verify dimensions and coating specifications for accuracy. Identify and correct issues such as coating defects, jams, or uneven application. Perform routine machine maintenance and adjustments as needed. Prepare coating solutions following written instructions and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using proper PPE. Load and unload materials onto and off of coating machines. Complete daily production logs, order sheets, and documentation accurately. Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and efficiency. Secondary Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Cross-train on additional equipment and production processes. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in coating, printing, or manufacturing strongly preferred. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and complete documentation. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with fractions and decimals. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and move up to 50 lbs regularly. Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and weekends as required.
