Part-Time Registered Nurse - Infusion Center

Discover Your Calling as a Part-Time Registered Nurse! SSM Health Saint Louis University West Pavilion is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Infusion Center team. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of patients while enjoying a flexible schedule with no weekends or holidays. Position Highlights: Part-time schedule with 20 weekly hours, Monday to Friday, day shift. Sign-On Bonus available for qualified external candidates. About the Role: As a key member of our healthcare team, you will perform vital nursing functions, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. You'll work closely with patients and their families to ensure their needs are met and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive treatment plans. Key Responsibilities: Assess the needs of patients and provide tailored care and education regarding vascular access. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to address patient concerns and develop effective treatment plans. Perform intravenous insertions and utilize advanced equipment such as ultrasound and infusion pumps. Monitor patient conditions, document care, and take appropriate actions in response to changes. Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for accessing and managing patient care plans. Adhere to evidence-based practices to deliver age-appropriate care for all patients. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team's objectives. Qualifications: Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Experience: No prior experience is required. Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA). Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Missouri. Additional certifications such as Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN) or Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) are a plus. Physical Requirements: This role involves frequent standing, walking, and the ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Regular communication, vision, and hearing capabilities are required.
