Job Overview The Janitorial/Office Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment. This role supports daily office operations by performing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks in offices, common areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and other assigned areas to ensure a healthy and welcoming workplace for employees and visitors. Duties Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of offices, conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, and other assigned areas. Empty trash and recycling receptacles and properly dispose of waste. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, countertops, tables, and appliances. Restock supplies in restrooms and breakrooms, including paper products, soap, and cleaning materials. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors as needed. Clean breakroom areas, including sinks, microwaves, refrigerators, and countertops. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages to management. Follow all company safety policies, sanitation standards, and cleaning procedures. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in office environments. Maintain detailed logs of completed tasks and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly RequirementsProven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings with a focus on quality service Knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care, buffing, stripping, and industrial cleaning methods Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners effectively Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties efficiently within scheduled hours Prior experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is a plus; familiarity with residential painting or industrial cleaning is advantageous
