Purpose The Overnight Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the operational efficiency of our warehouse. This position involves supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, managing daily freight schedules to meet customer and inventory demands. Minimum Qualifications 1-3 years of supervisory experience, ideally in a warehouse or distribution setting. Strong interpersonal and team-building skills, with the ability to delegate and follow up effectively. Capacity to establish and maintain productive relationships across departments. Excellent oral and written communication abilities. Basic mathematical proficiency. Proficient with computers, particularly in Windows-based environments. Able to thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere and meet deadlines. Willing to work extended hours, especially during peak periods. Key Responsibilities Schedule daily tasks for warehouse personnel to ensure optimal shipping and receiving operations are cost-effective and productive. Manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control. Oversee storage transactions, resolve receiving errors, and manage product staging. Ensure regular maintenance of warehouse equipment, implementing preventive measures and coordinating repairs as needed. Lead safety programs to maintain a clean and secure work environment, complying with OSHA regulations. Train associates to adhere to standard operating procedures. Implement progressive discipline processes, including counseling and written warnings, to promote a positive work atmosphere. Address general employee inquiries and resolve issues effectively. Collaborate with other departments to streamline warehouse operations. Complete Activity Reports for management review. Monitor paperwork from Receiving to ensure timely inventory control data entry. Investigate and rectify discrepancies in shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiving reports. Implement Storage Buy Audit Controls. Stage products for counting and inspection efficiently. Ensure proper product storage to maximize space and maintain safety protocols. Manage inventory rotation within the warehouse. Perform additional tasks as directed by management. Working Environment This position frequently involves exposure to a warehouse environment with active vehicles, which may present moderate to high noise levels. Physical Requirements Must be capable of exerting 30 - 60 pounds of force occasionally, 20-30 pounds frequently, and under 20 pounds constantly to move various objects. The role includes frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and manual handling.
