Freelance Lighting Technician

Location: Jacksonville, FL (and surrounding areas) Employment Type: Freelance / Contract About the Role: Sight & Sound Productions is hiring Freelance Lighting Technicians to support our live event productions. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with a passion for creating atmosphere and visual impact through lighting. Responsibilities: Set up, program, and operate lighting systems for live events Work with conventional, LED, and intelligent lighting fixtures Collaborate with the production team to design and execute lighting looks Assist with rigging, cabling, and power distribution as needed Qualifications: 2+ years of lighting experience in live events or theatre Proficiency with consoles such as MA, ETC, or Chamsys preferred Knowledge of DMX addressing, power distribution, and fixture maintenance Strong teamwork and time management skills Reliable transportation and willingness to work nights/weekends Strong problem-solving and communication skills Availability for local travel Ability to lift 50 lbs Powered by JazzHR
