Position Overview: As a Lead Pricing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving Home Depot's pricing strategies by utilizing your analytical skills and project management capabilities. This position demands performing in-depth data analysis, crafting compelling presentations, and responding to business inquiries with strategic insights. In partnership with various cross-functional teams, including finance, merchandising, marketing, and field staff, you will ensure the successful execution of comprehensive strategies. Your responsibilities will also encompass developing a robust system for gathering competitive pricing data from merchants, field representatives, and third-party vendors. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive pricing and gross margin variance analyses at both product and market levels. Moreover, you will support program management through ad hoc financial analyses to enhance strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Lead all stages of project life cycles, identifying business needs, defining requirements, assessing business impacts, and designing effective project rollouts. Serve as a subject matter expert by conducting research and analysis within designated categories or projects. Establish meaningful metrics for assigned projects or categories to effectively assess business value. Direct Reports: This role reports to a Manager/Senior Manager. There are no direct reports, but you will provide technical leadership over project teams, including selecting team members, offering training, and evaluating performance. Travel Requirements: This position typically requires less than 10% overnight travel. Physical Requirements: Most of your time will be spent seated comfortably, with occasional opportunities to move around; light lifting may be needed from time to time. Working Conditions: Work is conducted in a comfortable indoor environment, with infrequent and manageable unpleasant conditions. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: Experience leveraging research insights in retail environments, particularly in brand or category management. Familiarity with competitive intelligence within the home improvement sector. Strong comprehension of pricing strategies and statistical analysis. Proficiency in SQL, Python, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Tableau, and statistical software like SAS or Minitab for data analysis. Experience in consulting or project management within corporate settings is preferred; PMP certification is an advantage. Minimum Education: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Minimum Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience in relevant roles.
