Needed immediately: Mechanical Engineer in the Houston, TX area.í‚ In this role you willí‚ serve as a member of the company's mechanical design team and to assist the team in production of high-quality contract documents for the firmí¢€™s clients. B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field í‚ Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) examination í‚ Certified by the State of Texas as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) í‚ Minimum two attempts at State of Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) examination í‚ Exceptional attention to detail í‚ Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines í‚ Ability to work well on a team í‚ Exceptional written and verbal skills í‚ Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite í‚ Knowledge of building codes í‚ Previous experience in a MEP consulting environment í‚ Experience in the design of HVAC systems, temperature controls, central plant design, and indoor air quality, as well as other mechanical systems for commercial buildingsJob Duties: Perform engineering calculations and apply engineering principles to assist in the successful design, creation, and delivery of all mechanical AutoCAD and Revit drawings for each client project with minimal supervisioní¢€¢ Write, edit, and produce the accompanying specifications for each client project with minimal supervisioní¢€¢ Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, addendums, and other construction documents as assigned for mechanical-related items with minimal supervisioní¢€¢ Conduct field work and complete field reports on mechanical-related items to verify design with minimal supervisioní¢€¢ Excellent knowledge of all required building codesí¢€¢ Excellent knowledge of the company's design standards and processesí¢€¢ Excellent knowledge of client design standardsí¢€¢ Proficient in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC)í¢€¢ Ability to design and manage medium to large projects (i.e. middle schools, high schools) from start to finish with minimal supervisioní¢€¢ Ability to manage and transfer knowledge to teammatesí¢€¢ Excellent knowledge of the company's mission and vision; business leadership rolesí¢€¢ Strong knowledge of client mission and goalsí¢€¢ Ability to translate technical expertise and soft skills into business development goalsí¢€¢ Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies to stay in the forefront of mechanical engineering advancementsí¢€¢ Participate and/or lead client meetings as assignedí¢€¢ Participate in career development training as assigned by supervisor or Human Resources í‚
